Hey Alex, it's not the size of the bike, but the attitude of the rider. If you're a crazy nut, you can kill yourself on a 50 cc scooter! But, if you use common sense riding, you can handle the biggest bike made. Visit lots of dealers and sit on them. If they feel good to you, don't worry about the size. One thing, however, the heavier the bike, the longer it will take you to get used to it. After 20 years of not riding, I bought a big cruiser (C90T Suzuki), backed it out of the trailer, rode it 50 feet down my driveway, and dumped it on my leg. Did it again two weeks later on the other leg. When you take the MSF course, you'll see how much easier it is to ride a smaller bike. If you start to go down, you can usually recover a small bike, but if you're riding something like my 700 lb monster, all you can do is let it go and pray a lot. (And get your legs out of the way!!!!) Now, I have almost 8,000 miles on it and think nothing of the weight. It just took me a while. Whatever you buy, be careful, have fun, and good luck!
