Howdy,

Dave Jennings here, a child of the '60s who's been restoring and scrapping old MC for awhile now.

Just bought a rough Yamaha R5, with a mfg. date of 2/72 and an engine mark of R5-115740.

If you can tell me what model it is, I would appreciate it, but this seems like a 1972 model.

Certainly looks like RD350.

The RD-350 was a really good bike in it's day.

Oh yeah, R5 up to '72, then it became RD350 after that.
