NC500 ?? I thought it might be something I've missed in North Carolina.
I googled it and found: The North Coast 500 is a 516-mile scenic route around the north coast of Scotland.
That sounds like a lot of fun. I'm tempted to look into renting a motorcycle and joining a NC500 tour.
It might take a while to complete with distillery stopovers along the way!
Hey thanks Oz! North Carolina would be amazing too! Thankfully the NC500 is not too far from me in Northumberland UK. Crazy little beautiful roads around here too through farms and UK military land which we are allowed to ride through except I got stopped for the first time the other day due to live mortar round fire. Had a good chat to the lads on guard duty who are into bikes. About half my age and absolutely frozen to bits! They could do with some of that Scottish whisky you like the idea of 🍻.@Mattias Welcome to the forum from North Carolina, USA.

Reminds me of my home town, Bristol, Rhode Island. In the 1960's there was an Army Nike Missile complex along the waterfront. The site's Hercules missiles were armed with nuclear warheads. As kids we ignored the danger keep out live fire signs that were posted everywhere. We routinely cut across the fields to get to a favorite beach....
