I am having 2 issues here, just bought a 03 Road Star 1600. First issues is I can get my seat off, it seems jammed, anyone know any tricks? The second I am not sure if it's an issue or not but when I let off the gas I can hear a quick squeal come from under the bike. I am thinking from the belt? The throttle is very tight on the bike and I am thinking that when I release the throttle it causes the belt to chirp? Everything fell tight below. Is this a common sound or am I looking at the start of an issue?

If you let off the gas quick sometimes it can decellerate the tire fast enough to make it chirp due to engine braking (engine compression). My 1100 Virago would do that so I imagine a really big bore bike such as a 1600 it would do that even easier. The belt is a tooth type I believe and should not slip.
