G’day all I’m new to this forum but need some assistance to determine what sort of bikes I’m in possession of, got these 2 bikes gifted to me from my father but am unsure as to what they are and how much they’d be worth if I was to sell them. Any information would be greatly appreciated :) cheers.

The green bike is a 1973 Yamaha DT250 reed valve oil injected motor with point type ignition the 2nd is a 1972 parts for both are readily available but very expensive. They are very popular for collectors if the price is right.

interesting, thanks for letting me know I appreciate it I wouldn’t of had the slightest clue. So with the condition that they’re in at the moment how much would you charge if you were to sell them?

Vintage bikes are priced by so many variables. You would need to find bikes similar in your area and see what they are bringing. What you have there as they sit there in the weeds are junk. Get them out on the pavement and at least get the weeds off of them. If the gas tanks are rusted out price drops. If the motors are seized the price dropped again. At least the one bike has a seat pan. As they sit where I am in the US it is worth about $300.00 for the pair. The history to you is probably worth more to learn, being who owned them.
