To whom it may concern:

I bought a 181 cc Takegawa big bore kit, power commander and air tune for my 2019 Honda Monkey., everything is fine run great but I can't drive over 45 mph, if I passed my check engine light go on and won't let me run , I took it to Honda shop and they can't solve the problem , I put back the original, every thing is normal, I replace my takegawa big bore kit back to my Monkey again, same thing , it can't go over 45 mph, can any one help to see what makes this problem?

I'd give the maker of the kit a call. They certainly don't want people bad mouthing their product and would most likely do anything they could to help resolve your problem.

If you won't get help from the maker describe how the ride on stock and tuning kit looks. I'm thinking about - for example - if you drive in 4th gear can you reach full engine speed (rpm) ? if not - can you reach it on lower gear or neutral?

Did the kit come with a different injector?

Okay so you have the same injector but a bigger bore, my gut feeling is you either need fuel mapping or if you can't do that then a bigger injector but they aren't cheap. Did it come with a program for the ECU?

Sounds like there is your problem, you need the map for the power commander in order to get it working, I'm usre it needs a lot more fuel with the bigger displacement. This map will be specific to the hardware you have, the big bore kit etc. Contact the maker of the big bore kit, see if they have one you can download and install. The other option is to find someone else who has done this already and has a usable map they will share.
If not you will need to find someone who can do a Dyno Tune on it and create a custom map, you need a performance shop, not a Honda dealer or regular repair shop. The custom tune is the best anyway by far, but it will cost you some money. Call around to local shops who specialize in performance tuning for motorcycles and you should be able to find someone to tune it.
I looked at Takegawa Super Head Big bore Kit - Low Prices, Honda Grom Takagawa 143 181 big Bore Kit Looks like they are specialists in this stuff.. call them and ask, I bet they can help.

Read all the paper work that came with the Dynojet power commander. Mine (for a different bike) with a CD to tune it. It also came with four different tunes in the module. I used one of those. Read the instructions, they should tell you what to do.

Sorry thought I posted this last night. Found it waiting for me when I opened this thread
