need a good source

i am trying to locate a good source of used and/or rebuilt parts for a CBR600F2 does anyone know of any. i tried e-bay but the selection is very limited. next question, i did find a 01' CBR929 that is damaged in the rear-end (broken swing arm & rim) but the engine/tranny is supposed to be in great shape, will the 929 power train fit my 93' 600F2? is there a rule of thumb to follow as for as interchanging power plants. such as sport bike power on sport bikes only or can i use what ever plant that i want. i know that they will have to be of the same manufacturer, can i put a cruiser eng. on a sport bike or vice versa? i hope that you guys to clown on me to hard this is my first bike mechanic exp.

You can make anything fit with a welder and fabrication skills.

Probably not.

can i put a cruiser eng. on a sport bike or vice versa?

Probably not either. Most likely the only bolt in engine would be a CBR600 engine around the time yours was built, maybe, again I'm not 100% sure. They tend to change stuff on sportbike way too often.

When searching for parts try dropping the F2 and just go for CBR600 and use the year as your guide.
