I agree with you too. A very nice bike for a trip or anything where there is pavement. Mine is a 2000 and does not have a cd player but the radio and tape. My 8 tracks won't play on it ,darn. I too tried the goldwing and felt like a ships capt on it. Too big too smooth and not what I'd ride. They are nice but not for me. The only thing I hate is the kickstand.

Very nice bike. I added the leather bra cover also to keep the bugs from eating the paint on mine. Makes it easier to clean too.
I work in Commerce Tx and El Paso, now and then. You Texans are very friendly people and I like it there. My aunt lives in the south near the border. It is the only state where I road for two days and was still in the same state.
The sun rose, the sun set, here I am in TX yet!

Florida! That explains the grren grass! :D Kinda brown around here!

Very sharp looking rides that you have there.

Sharp Ultra. My gf wants me to get something along that line - or towards the Goldwing. She is after the "rear recliner". :D I'm afraid she would go to sleep and fall over/fall off! I can keep her awake on the Bandit pretty easy. Just pop the gas and feel her grab! ;) I did get a back rest for her - just put on a couple days ago.

I fell asleep on a Triumph back in 1966. I'd come to Florida to party and was riding back to Pope Air Force Base when I hit the Fayetville NC city limits sign. Woke me and my pasenger up real fast and sure glad I had a skid lid on too. Now I stop and get plenty of sleep after eight hours. It is still warm today but will be cold in the morning.

It holds you in pretty well, look at the side bolsters and speakers:

My buddy's girlfriend sleeps back there all the time.

Thanks, I love riding the sporty.
It can rain some during the summer but most of the year it is nice. So far the grass is still green. 76/56 today.
Nice bikes. Those Ultras have grown on me, I used to think they were too loaded but now I just wonder how fun it would be to travel on one. How well can you hear the speakers on a Harley though? It seems like you'd really have to blast it.
Stuco
The sound is pretty good, I think anyway. The sound also increases as you increase speed. I don't use the CB or intercom but enjoy the radio and weather station on trips.
