Got started in 1968 riding small 2-stroke Japanese bikes on what were then called "enduros". I live in Southern Calif, and we did 90% of our riding in the desert, we lived about an hour away. My whole family rode, (except my Mom.) My Dad, myself, my sister and I were all out in the desert regularly. My dirt bike hero was Malcom Smith, the guy was absolutely amazing! Small bikes were fun, we rode them often flat out. Here is an example of what we did:
