My XT350 has been sitting since last summer, due to a significant oil leak from the decompression level on the head. Due to it's placement you need to remove the engine to slide the lever out. Plus the set screw hole was stripped and needed a Heli-Coil installed. And with other bikes to ride I just kind of put it on the back burner.

As I pulled the chain to remove the engine I found the master link clip was missing. Lord knows how long I was riding without it in place. But I pull the engine, repair it, clean it, reinstall it. Fire it up. She's all set to roast the trails again. Except for the missing chain clip. A downside to living in a podunk town. Of course no one around here has one. I could be out riding the frozen river right now (as seen in my avatar). Oh well. Murphy sucks.

Better to find out it is missing in the garage than out on the trail after your chain takes a hike as well,
