Motorcycle Turntable

I just saw this video and thought it was a great idea. I am going to make one so I can put my bike on it when I bring it home. My driveway has a slight grade so I come in frontways but have to turn it around to leave. Having this little turntable will make it so much easier.

Great idea. Alas, no centerstands...
This one will work too but takes up more room. Instead of the wooden one, I would put a steel plate across the top sticking out about 12"-16" on each side to put your feet and the kickstand down.

Yeah, just try doing that with a 950 pound Goldwing.
(Hint: It ain't ever gonna happen!)

I think the metal one would as all the weight is centered over the turntable which is rated for 1000lbs. but the wooden one would just scrape on the ground. I have a Goldwing and am going to build the metal one. I'll post there results here and let everyone know how it goes.

Please do post how it works out.
The problem as I see it is that a Goldwing (mine at least) can't be rocked back to get all the weight on the center stand. There is just too much weight on the front wheel. I don't what year you have. Maybe yours is different.

Maybe I will have to incorporate a hydraulic lift with it.:)

I will post pics when I get it done.

Here is one shown that does work with a Goldwing but showing how he lifts the front of the Goldwing makes me think it will work on all turntables.
