On this platform I am going to tell you the story of our recent adventure in Himalayas in India. First I would like to tell you that this trip was amazing adventure & I can say this was the best motorcycle adventure I had. We were a group of 8 riders on this adventure from Australia & few riders from America. We took this trip in the month of August & weather throughout trip was good except rain in Delhi & Manali. We start our trip from Delhi with some historical sightseeing in Delhi including Humayun Tomb, Qutab Minar & Red fort. Sightseeing was good in Delhi with knowledge of historical monuments.

We reached in Manali with very nice weather with few rains on the way. Temperature was so good with compare with hot weather in Delhi. We were introduced to our Royal Enfield 500 cc & motorcycles were in very good condition & ready to ride. We were introduced to other crew members including our support driver, mechanic & team leader, we were given very important instructions for riding in the Himalayas. Our whole tour was booked with Royal Bike Riders & experienced was very good with them.

We started our riding towards Jispa village, 140 km from Manali & we crossed our first pass known as Rohtang pass at 3950 M. This pass is quite popular along Indian tourist because this pass remains covered with snow more than 7 months & scenery was amazing from the pass. We enjoyed our riding except few rider falls in mud on Rohtang pass but our adventure of riding through this pass & down was very good & we all enjoyed. We have bonfire party at our lodge with drinks & lots of chat for the motorcycle tour in Himalayas.

We are told by our team leader that today’s ride going to be hard in terms of riding distance & diversity in geography & few high passes & many water crossing sorry ice cold water crossing. We were very excited for the adventure & we cross Baralacha pass, Lachungla pass & Nakeela pass. Scenery changed in every km & we were amazed to ride on high passes & ice cold water crossing. We stop many times for photos & tea/coffee breaks in the Tibetan food stalls. I was so thankful to Royal Bike Riders to give this amazing adventure & everything was going well including motorcycles, support vehicle our accommodation & crew members were so friendly & have always smile on the face & they arranged evening party everyday with bonfire. Amazing time always!

Today we crossed World’s second highest pass known as Taglangla pass at 17582 feet, amazing feel on the pass & group picture. Today we reached Leh city, capital of the Ladakh region. We have great ride today mostly on paved road & many curves down from the pass. We reached our hotel in Leh & accommodation was very good with hot water & slower. We really need hot slower after crossing Second highest pass. We had our dinner in local restaurant with bonfire & beers. Weather was cold especially in the evenings after sun set that was ok on 11000 feet.

Today we have local sightseeing ride around Leh city & we visited 4 different monasteries & had our lunch in the restaurant in the Thikse monastery. We have very comfortable ride around Leh & we experienced cultural importance of the Ladakh region. View was amazing from the Thikse monastery & we spent quality time in the monastery with Monks & roll prayer wheels. So excited to cross Highest pass tomorrow, Kharding pass 18380 feet, amazing feel, amazing adventure Thanks to Royal Bike Riders for arranging so beautiful rides in the Himalayas.

We all very excited to cross World’s highest pass at Khardungla pass on 18380 feet distance from Leh to pass was 40 km & 70% part of the ride was on paved road & remaining was mix of dirt & unpaved road. Finally we reached on the pass & feeling was amazing after crossing this highest pass. We had coffee on the highest pass with maggi. We had picture opportunity with other riders on the pass & took many photos with our whole group including crew members.

We got instructions from Royal Bike Riders’s team leader that we will have great ride today to the some of the highest lake in the Himalayan region. Road & scenery were amazing & we experienced very less traffic on this route. Lake known as Tso Moriri lake & is located in the eastern part of Ladakh region. This place famous for the scenery of the Himalayan Mountains & blue water of the lake. We have our camp near to lake. This place is really very remote place in the Himalayan region & we got our camps with basic facility but neat & clean. We had bonfire in the camp ground & had beer party & lots of chat with other riders.

Today we are going to ride back on Manali-Leh highway & going to stay in Sarchu, a middle point on the Manali-Leh highway. First we ride 40 km from the Camp to the Sumdo on the same route as yesterday then we take turn on the road goes to Tso Kar lake. Later we ride on the Manali-Leh highway & cross Gata Loops & some of the highest passes to Sarchu. We reach Sarchu & place is so awesome & so quite. We had great time there with bonfire & drinks.

Today we are going to finish our motorcycle tour India/Himalayas with Royal Bike Riders team & we have 220 km to ride that’s going to take around 7-8 hrs because of many curves on the road. Feeling little sad because our amazing adventure going to an end but no sorry for the great end. We have great time with Royal Bike Riders, their professional experience lead our motorbike tour India safe & secure. Their instructions proved very helpful & very effective as well. Our recommendation goes to Royal Bike Riders, I see you on other rides in India as I promised to you. Reached in Manali but today we have flat tyre & little breakdown in my motorcycle but fixed very quickly thanks to Sisu, our mechanic.
Great surprise for the evening traditional dress with Himachali cap. We were escorted to a beautiful lawn where we had our farewell party with music & drinks. We experienced so much Indian foods variety. We had great time with dance & lots of drinks. Had great time. Unforgettable Adventure, I loved it.
