If it is on me then let's go with.

Your bike,
Veteran's Cemetery
Veteran's grave
Fresh Flowers on the grave that you brought with you

You don't have to know them but it would be better if you did.

Then on November 11 we should all repeat this challenge

I think it would be better if you did NOT know the deceased.

Go pick out a veteran's grave that doesn't have any flowers or flags, one that has lain forgotten, and take the briefest pause out of your day and your ride, to put a couple bucks worth of flowers on it.

That would be a very small contribution to honor someone that helped give you the day you are enjoying, no?

There is actually a tradition for veteran grave visits.

Leave a penny on the stone if you visit.

Leave a nickel if you knew the deceased.

Leave a dime if you served with the deceased.

Leave a quarter if you there when the deceased passed.

I've left $1.35 on veteran markers.

I've just recently heard of that. We used to just leave a beer on the graves of friends. The ones that had graves. Now it's way too far to do that and I've learned that they'll never be out of my heart whether I leave something or not.

Most years on November 11th, or close to it, I'd pick a state cemetery from a map and just take a ride to go find it. Carry a few paper poppies or some of the little flags and make a good excuse for a ride. For me, I like the idea of finding someone that's been mostly forgotten and offering a little sign of respect.
