Motorcycle Picture Challenge....

We did this on another bike forum and it was fun. The intent is to get out and ride to complete the challenge before someone else does. All you need to do is take a picture of your bike with the challenge item in the background.

The rules here are simple. Be sure to note them before creating the next challenge for the rest of us.

1 - Has to be YOUR motorcycle.
2 - Picture has to be taken after challenge is made.
3 - Challenge is good for 2 weeks, if it is not met, the previous picture poster picks a new challenge.
4 - Nothing illegal to be challenged.
5 - Keep comments to a minimum, if you comment, post the current challenge after your comment. In Bold Italics
6 - No repeat challenges.
7 - All challenges must be of your bike and a landmark, something most people can ride to or find in their area.
8 - No other bikes can be used in a challenge, ie. your bike next to a Ducati. Some exceptions allowed, ie. you bike next to a bike cop.
9 - All challenges can be removed by moderators. At which point the postee of the challenge will be asked to change his current challenge. After being asked once and there is no change or challenger posts another crapy challenge then the prior challenge winner will pick a new one.

Examples - "Your motorcycle in a garage", "Your motorcycle crossing a river", "Your motorcycle with no engine", "Your motorcycle next to a firetruck" etc. Doesn't need to be a fancy picture, cell phones, whatever works.

Thanks guys. Remember, this thread is supposed to get guys to WANT to go ride right away and beat your friend to the picture challenge, be creative, but have limits. Thanks.

First Challenge:

Your bike in front of a sporting goods store.

I say that Critter and OJ's bikes in front of real Civil War soldiers, (even if they're dead) counts as pretty close.
Well if that counts OJ has to pick the next venue
Either way you chose it! Deadline has passed, time for a new challenge, I'm looking for info on my next roadtrip!
Forgot about that deadline. Whats the next challenge? (Cannot hardly believe no one could find a re-enactor, not these days anyway)
If I read it right, I believe it's your call on the new challenge.
Had to go back and read that. Yep, challenge not met, here is the next Challenge.

Your bike, with you sitting on it, somewhere in The Sea of Tranquility.

JK! Give me a minute.

Wait, so is this the challenge or are we waiting on you to come up with another one?
Considering that the "Sea of Tranquility" is on the moon, we're waiting for the next challenge. The old challenge expired 4 days ago.

If the previous challenge winner doesn't come up with a new challenge by 8pm tonight (East Coast USA), I will come up with a new challenge.
Has he been on line recently? Answered my own question. His profile says last activity was 9/9/13
If it is on me then let's go with.

Your bike,
Veteran's Cemetery
Veteran's grave
Fresh Flowers on the grave that you brought with you

You don't have to know them but it would be better if you did.

Then on November 11 we should all repeat this challenge
I think it would be better if you did NOT know the deceased.

Go pick out a veteran's grave that doesn't have any flowers or flags, one that has lain forgotten, and take the briefest pause out of your day and your ride, to put a couple bucks worth of flowers on it.

That would be a very small contribution to honor someone that helped give you the day you are enjoying, no?
^^^ :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: excellent!!!

That is a great idea!
There is actually a tradition for veteran grave visits.

Leave a penny on the stone if you visit.

Leave a nickel if you knew the deceased.

Leave a dime if you served with the deceased.

Leave a quarter if you there when the deceased passed.

I've left $1.35 on veteran markers.

I've just recently heard of that. We used to just leave a beer on the graves of friends. The ones that had graves. Now it's way too far to do that and I've learned that they'll never be out of my heart whether I leave something or not.

Most years on November 11th, or close to it, I'd pick a state cemetery from a map and just take a ride to go find it. Carry a few paper poppies or some of the little flags and make a good excuse for a ride. For me, I like the idea of finding someone that's been mostly forgotten and offering a little sign of respect.
That is a good tradition Eye
