Motorcycle Picture Challenge....

We did this on another bike forum and it was fun. The intent is to get out and ride to complete the challenge before someone else does. All you need to do is take a picture of your bike with the challenge item in the background.

The rules here are simple. Be sure to note them before creating the next challenge for the rest of us.

1 - Has to be YOUR motorcycle.
2 - Picture has to be taken after challenge is made.
3 - Challenge is good for 2 weeks, if it is not met, the previous picture poster picks a new challenge.
4 - Nothing illegal to be challenged.
5 - Keep comments to a minimum, if you comment, post the current challenge after your comment. In Bold Italics
6 - No repeat challenges.
7 - All challenges must be of your bike and a landmark, something most people can ride to or find in their area.
8 - No other bikes can be used in a challenge, ie. your bike next to a Ducati. Some exceptions allowed, ie. you bike next to a bike cop.
9 - All challenges can be removed by moderators. At which point the postee of the challenge will be asked to change his current challenge. After being asked once and there is no change or challenger posts another crapy challenge then the prior challenge winner will pick a new one.

Examples - "Your motorcycle in a garage", "Your motorcycle crossing a river", "Your motorcycle with no engine", "Your motorcycle next to a firetruck" etc. Doesn't need to be a fancy picture, cell phones, whatever works.

Thanks guys. Remember, this thread is supposed to get guys to WANT to go ride right away and beat your friend to the picture challenge, be creative, but have limits. Thanks.

First Challenge:

Your bike in front of a sporting goods store.

add Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia to that list
Nothing in my area, from what I could find most of the re-enactments look to be in the area of GA, KY, TN, TX
Minnesota has lots of re-enactments. Plenty of contacts available as well to get directions, locations and dates. I wont post the links since I posted the challenge.

Dont forget Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana. Even California, the Sacramento COTC is named after my 3rd Great Grandfather and set up by my cousin, they have been having re-enactments. They are in every state (And lots of Foreign countries).
Okay, nobody in a blue or Gray uniform, but I do have a picture of Chillin's and my bike in front of a period piece of artillery yesterday at Gettysburg

And in this one today Gary and I stopped in front of a Veteran's Memorial on the Susquehanna river valley

In Gettysburg and couldnt find a re-enactor? Im in gettysburg at least 2-3 times a month, all you have to do is go to one of the house tours one block up from Adams County Winery, they are there every single day. The Battlefield Tours have lots that do tours (Many are park rangers working the battlefield) do it in uniform.

Oh I didn't say it met the challenge, just an interesting picture.

Eye I don't know. There is a row of them on the side of the road, maybe SNCO can tell you what the are.

Parrot Rifles, the pic looks like it may have been taken near Evergreen Cemetery.
I thought so!

As big as those cannons are there must have been some HUGE parrots around back in those days. Not like the little, unoffensive pretty birds we have down here now.

This isn't for the challenge either, but thought any Civil War buffs might enjoy it. 6th North Carolina infantryman at Henry House Hill.

24 hours until the deadline - 3:30 pm 09/8/14
Okay, since no one has yet to get the challenge, in the meantime here's another drawing for all you Civil War buffs. Officer, Washington Artillery of New Orleans. (Hey, at least a re-enactor posed for me for the drawing.)

Should have drawn a scoot in there :) Really good work Eye
Thanks.

For some reason I've seldom ever drawn scoots.
Wouldn't that be up to the person that made the last challenge that went unanswered?

Pretty much (According to the rules), I have yet to see anything close to meeting the challenge. Considering....150th.....should not be a problem (I would think)
