Motorcycle Picture Challenge....

We did this on another bike forum and it was fun. The intent is to get out and ride to complete the challenge before someone else does. All you need to do is take a picture of your bike with the challenge item in the background.

The rules here are simple. Be sure to note them before creating the next challenge for the rest of us.

1 - Has to be YOUR motorcycle.
2 - Picture has to be taken after challenge is made.
3 - Challenge is good for 2 weeks, if it is not met, the previous picture poster picks a new challenge.
4 - Nothing illegal to be challenged.
5 - Keep comments to a minimum, if you comment, post the current challenge after your comment. In Bold Italics
6 - No repeat challenges.
7 - All challenges must be of your bike and a landmark, something most people can ride to or find in their area.
8 - No other bikes can be used in a challenge, ie. your bike next to a Ducati. Some exceptions allowed, ie. you bike next to a bike cop.
9 - All challenges can be removed by moderators. At which point the postee of the challenge will be asked to change his current challenge. After being asked once and there is no change or challenger posts another crapy challenge then the prior challenge winner will pick a new one.

Examples - "Your motorcycle in a garage", "Your motorcycle crossing a river", "Your motorcycle with no engine", "Your motorcycle next to a firetruck" etc. Doesn't need to be a fancy picture, cell phones, whatever works.

Thanks guys. Remember, this thread is supposed to get guys to WANT to go ride right away and beat your friend to the picture challenge, be creative, but have limits. Thanks.

First Challenge:

Your bike in front of a sporting goods store.

Find a girl in a kilt and let her sit on your bike...he said a person, not a guy in a kilt.

This^^^^^^.

FWIW, I had something like this in mind when I made the challenge:

http://www.tiltedkilt.com/

New Challenge: Your bike with someone on or near it wearing a Kilt.
We go to a bike rally at Buckhorn MO each year and there is a guy down there that wears a kilt each evening when the bands are playing & the other stage shows are going on. I must say, he wears it well and the ladies don't mind looking at him... :) :)
"Could you really look at a man in a skirt with any measure of respect"?

"If he's carrying a large battle axe, you'd better".
SO, the timing on this is off by a smidgen. TARTAN WEEK in NYC ,Including a Scottish parade on 6th ave starts APRIL 5th, and the parade is Saturday, April 6th. I'll see if I can do it anyways.

Looking forward to getting one of these. Though living in nyc is almost like cheating, because nearly everything on the list except farm items is within 20 blocks. (So i'm going to try and get Farm ones)

Does it have to do with the challange?

yes, the challenge is Your bike with someone on or near it wearing a Kilt.

alas I live in the mid-west, and I don't know of any kilted people around me...
This one might reach the 2 week mark
I hope so lol.
Expires Sunday the 7th. See if I can run out on my lunch break Saturday and get it. Otherwise, looking forward to the next challenge!

I RODE MY BIKE YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, this spring has sucked. :)

I WIN! Had to run around like crazy. What I make up for in not being "next to" I make up for in quantity. I hope. I didn't have the balls to ask any of the scotts to jump on the bike. but next time.

If it is accepted, I challenge someone to take a picture of their bike next to the sight of a natural disaster. Good luck!

Edit:

So I actually worked today. The parade was at 44th though 51st on 6th ave I ran out on my lunch and flew up church to 6th ave. Traffic Jammed up fast and I had to work my way around times square and as far out as 10th avenue. That is trying to get around times square traffic, port authority traffic, bus traffic, parade traffic, lincoln tunnel traffic, and finally just plain old New York city traffic. The worst being that 6th avenue, a main artery heading north was completely jammed and then blocked off as far south as 23rd.

I finally get there and I find where the parade is forming up, but I can't get the bike close enough. I talk to a cop and he sent me up to 52nd and 6th where I could park near the crosswalk at the intersection and get shots. There was one group in kilts standing near by, but they were trying to get things done so it felt wrong to interrupt them. After finishing I raced back to work, breaking every traffic law. All in all I left 15 minutes early for lunch and only came back 30 minutes late. :D

Love it. Thanks for getting me out there. ITS 50 DEGREES! GET OUT AND RIDE.

I have to say fantastic effort for a very difficult challenge!!

I agree! although I'm not crazy about the next challenge. I live on long island, where some parts of the south shore are still ravaged from hurricane sandy.

I can ride down there and complete this, but its not something I could say I would enjoy accomplishing
I say it counts, but we need a ruling from the issuer. Recon?
I think the next challenge should be changed. Seems wrong

In the event of a call being sent to the officials for instant replay review, they only have until the next snap of the ball to make a judgement. Once the ball is live, the opportunity to review is gone, and the ruling on the field stands.

Down, set... hut!

I challenge someone to take a picture of their bike next to the sight of a natural disaster. Good luck!

I can see why you'd say that, but this challenge doesn't have to be tasteless. We're just documenting history here. In the photo above, you can see the response (huge flood wall built, downtown Richmond) to the James River Flood of 1985.

Your next challenge: Your bike in front of a 2nd-run cinema, the old run-down cinema that shows not-so-new movies at a huge discount. ie -- my local 2nd-run cinema is currently showing Identity Thief and Django Unchained, both of which left regular theaters months ago, for $2. Bonus points -- watch a movie, and give your review.

I say it counts.... the challenge was "someone in a kilt on or near your bike". The guys in the Kilts are "near enough" for me.
