Sheesh! Not long ago, I could have gotten that picture right in front of my house.
But the fence was rotting away, so I had to take it down.

Same here, my old house had 500 feet of cedar split rail fence, it was 30 years old and starting to rot, I took it down and my Boy Scout troop cut it up and had firewood for a year
Time go to look for a place to take a picture of a motorcycle with a split rail fence

Does "split rail" include both fences WITH vertical posts, as well as those without any posts, made

by stacking the rails at an angle to form a zigzag pattern?

Great pic, for a general "cool photos" thread... but it doesn't match what we're searching for now. PS so that's a brushfire or forest fire in the background, eh?
I drove my cage past one of those it was kind of scary because I didn't know how many hundreds of yards are even miles of forest were burning. Turns out it was about half a mile worth of fire just a few yards away from the road but the road was open and traffic kept going past in both directions.
