Nice job on the pics, Porky! That air dispenser is interesting...never saw one of those before.
I haven't seen one actually working in years. Like 30 or 40.

is that one of those that you "dial in" the pressure you want and it stops when it gets there? if so, I've seen one of those (newer than the one pictured, but still) I thought it was kinda neat, but it didn't last.....it had to have been 20 years ago I saw one

I saw the air hose hanging there and thought it was pretty cool! Wasn't sure how it works or if it even worked. The business was closed today, but I peeked through the windows in the garage was set up just like something I'd expect to see 50 years ago, old metal oil cans and all. They had an old Ford Mustang and another car that I couldn't identify parked inside

The ones I saw were that way but they also had water. And they were in poor working order due to people not caring about how they used tools that wasn't theirs. Or maybe I just grew up on the wrong side of the tracks.

Nice pictures, I like the way the whole place is preserved. I wonder how many people don't remember those old air dispensers, they were everywhere, until someone realized they could start charging $1 for air, then suddenly all of them were replaced with those lousy, slow air vending machines you see now.
Now to find someone with an advertising sign...

I LOVE my ride: Yamaha FJR1300A. Built in 2003 and still in showroom condition. It's imported from Switzerland and was already equipped with ABS, bi-xenon headlights, grip heating, panniers & top case and crash protectors.
Things I added;
- an easy access charging cable (also to be connected to a separate tire pump when travelling)
- reflective tape on mirror housings and backside of panniers (much better visibility during night time)
- Garmin Zumo 350LM (after having a StreetPilot 3 for 11 years)
- shorter dogbones in the rear suspension system (rises the back which provide more steering response and ground clearing)
- stainless steel radiator protection cover (custom made)
- twin Stebel horns (138 dB)
- repolstered seat for no pain in the ass during longer rides
- Schurgers touring screen for better weather protection

Though it's quite a heavy bike while manouvrering at "pedestrian speed", this disappears on all other speeds. I replaced the standard tires (Michelins) with Pirelli's Angel ST(E) which made a huge difference in more grip, especially in wet & very wet conditions. Normally the front tire lasts around 15000 km (close to 10000 mi), the rear tire has a lifespan of 10000 km (7000 mi).

ALL-IN (all fixed & variable costs, depreciation/gas/fines  included also) this bike costs around 50 Eurocents per km (1 Dollar per mile).

I can't say I actually do it but I did put one out there for anyone in my general area to investigate. I plan on doing another but just haven't found time or had a GPS with me to get coordinates. There aren't many for Texas. Eastern US has many though.

EDIT: Forget the above. I was thinking motocaching. That's different. Sorry.
