In the event of a call being sent to the officials for instant replay review, they only have until the next snap of the ball to make a judgement. Once the ball is live, the opportunity to review is gone, and the ruling on the field stands.
I can see why you'd say that, but this challenge doesn't have to be tasteless. We're just documenting history here. In the photo above, you can see the response (huge flood wall built, downtown Richmond) to the James River Flood of 1985.
This isn't a group assignment, in which we just need to make sure that somebody turns it in on time. This is a challenge, and the goal is to meet the challenge before anybody else does. Y'all aren't tryin'!
