Horn. Cars or bikes. Other than to hail a friend as you pass by, but even then I don't use them. If they cannot hear my clutch-in throttle blips then they are too busy to hail.

Try breaking trail and maybe then you can post an experienced opinion on hand guards .

Sport and touring bikers break wind, not trails.
