My functional mods to my Valkyrie started with the pipes being just too loud. The PO had gutted the mufflers and replaced the insides with 'glass pack' type, which sounded good, just a little too much. So, I got some gas pipe caps and created lollipops, opening the center until I had the volume I liked:
Then, I realized that pulling the bike off the side stand, because of the weight combined with the strong lean, was beginning to make my back hurt. So, I added a pad to the bottom of the shoe that widened the stand's foot:
