Hello all, new to this forum. I'm having a problem and been searching the net for any help and came across this forum. Have a 95 kawa zx-7 which hydrolocked a little while ago. I had the carbs cleaned and rebuild kit installed at the same time. The bike now starts great and accelerates just like it did before, which is good, but now when I hit about 75 mph it feels like it stops getting any fuel:confused: I've replaced the fuel filter, (earlier had rebuilt the pet****), tried running with it set to 'on' and 'reserve' but no difference, tried running it with fuel cap open (no diff). When I tested it early last week when it was 75 degrees it got to 85 but Friday when I tested again it was only about 55 degrees and it started acting up at about 70 mph.

I've asked on another forum and received some answers which I've tested or not sure if they are in the park or not so I'm asking here to see if anyone has had this before or has any ideas.

Any and all input is appreciated.

im not familiar with the term hydrolock, of course i havent been around bikes nearly as long as i have cars...but if i had to guess, id say hydrolock refers to water getting into the carbs?...

you said the carbs were rebuilt. now, if youre sure they were rebuilt with the proper jets, float level set, carbs balanced...you could try checking your plugs to make sure they arent damaged or fouled up. thats all im coming up with off the top of my head after being up almost 24 hours :p
