Hey, I'm new to the forum, I've been riding for about a year on my first bike which is a Yamaha Virago 250. And it was a great beginner bike but its defiantly getting to the point were i want some more power. so I'm looking to upgrade to like a 650cc or something bike. I'm thinking about an Kawasaki Ninja 650R or a Yamaha FZ6. I was wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions on a good bike i can get on a budget, basically bikes that are cheap new or cheap up the stamina so that i could pick up a used one for not too much. so any suggestions would be appreciate. There is a guy here who has a 650 Ninja and he likes it. i have it's little brother the 500 Ninja. The Yamaha FZ6 is a good design too that's been around awhile. Both would fit the bill nicely and be a reliable daily rider. I like my Ninja 500 so don't overlook it or the Suzuki GS500, both are around 5k new. There are lots of bikes that are built the way those are but it be tough to tell you what not knowing how old you want to go.

I also hear good things about the 650 Ninja, but being a Yamaha guy, I'm partial to the FZ6. The Suzuki Bandit 600 or SV650 are also good choices. Used bikes are always a good deal as the Japanese bikes are super reliable, and most are low mileage.
