I got a couple 6volt LED lightbulbs for my '72 Honda CL100. I'm having charging issues and was hoping this might help solve that problem by not drawing as much power BUT the bulb doesn't work. If I run wires strait from the battery, I get light but if I put the bulb in the taillight socket, nothin'. I know the socket is working because the old bulb lights right up. The connections line up so it's gotta be something else. Is there a step I'm missing here? BTW, this is with the bike not running if that matters. Thanks for any advice/help offered! This charging system is slowly driving me crazy!

Well, it looks as though my battery wasn't charged enough to get the LED lit up but was enough to get the original bulb working. You'd think it'd be the other way around.

So the LED light will not illuminate unless the battery is charged to it's maximum and even then it's not fully lit up. Trying to figure out this bike's electrical system is killing me!
