Just dropping a note in here to check out the forum. Tomorrow, I am taking possession of a 1971 Honda CB500. All I know is that it ran fine before it was parked and that it has Vance and Hines 70's dragger exhaust and it's been sitting for a little while. I am picking it up for $250, so I thought I'd go for it. As soon as I get it, I will post pics up. Well, just familiarizing myself here. Thanks.

Welcome to the site. Pick yourself up a shop manual for that bike, you won't be sorry.

Seeing that the original post is about 5 years old, odds are that the poster is long gone by now.

That's Ok... I picked up a nice CB550 that has been sitting for 21 years.
This bike is much more complicated than the twins. So many parts on the carbs,you almost lose count.
I finally bit the bullet and ordered a new gasket kit for all four carbs. The repairs are just creeping along.
