I just purchased a used 01 Yamaha Road star Silverado as I’m looking the bike over I noticed to me it looks like something missing... I don’t have a manual to see if something should be in it’s place I would appreciate if somebody could give me some input... Thank you.

WELCOME ABOARD, and...

Other members do like to know they are welcoming a real person so thanks
for letting us know a little about yourself. Normally just a few more
posts(count of 3) and the rest of the site will open to you. This is the sites
spambot control. Unfortunately it is needed today. But you have to make 15
posts before you can post pictures.
Right or wrong it's considered a privilege
to be able to post pictures. Unless you use Tapatalk which somehow
gets around that restriction.

We are friendly site here. Well, most of us:grin:
I think the OP is trapped in the 15 post count thing. There are ways around it
but not easily explained except for that Tapatalk thing. But photo sharing
sites are another way.

Thank you all, I found out it was my AIS (Air injection system) filter was missing and from what I understand some people remove everything and plug up the holes on the head. They sell a kit to do it. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing to do or I should just get a filter for it...

A lot of people remove the AIS on those bikes, as long as it's plugged up it will work fine ( better actually) without it.
