2009 Heritage Softail Classic.
So long story short, last week I had to make an emergency swerve which led to a ditch, which led to somebody's yard, which led to a large shrub grabbing my right handle bar, which led to me and the bike both on the ground (at least in the grass). I think I turned out worse than the bike with a separated shoulder and dislocated elbow. I got the bike home today and it doesn't seem too banged up. Front fender is bent and right turn signal is bent. I rode it home today (I know, dumb move) and I'm not sure if it was psychological or what but the rear tire seemed to break loose oh so slightly. And the front brake was very lightly squealing a couple of times. The question I have is, what should I look for on the bike after the wreck? I'm wondering if I really need to make an insurance claim and/or take it to a dealership. Like I said, it seems fine...I just want to make sure I'm not missing something. I've never wrecked in 10 years of riding and want to be thorough on this. Thanks in advance for any advice.
