And the Mustache Engine Guards that I have on my 09 Super Glide Custom, its Harley Part Number is 4900007 and it should also fit you 12 Super Glide Custom according to Harleys Fitment chart. It fits model years 2006 to 2017.

Both available in black or chrome.

From what I understand, the FXDC & the FXDCI are the same bike, Super Glide Custom, as a matter of fact, I never saw FXDCI listed anywhere on the Harley site or Harleys Fitment list of bikes. For what its worth, FXDC stands for Factory Experimental Dyna Custom. I don't know where the I comes from other than seeing a couple listed on Cycletrader as FXDC/FXDCI Super Glide Custom for sale. All this being said, I'm sure no Harley expert.

Also I forgot to ask, do you have forward controls or mid controls? The top of the crash bars mount with two bolts at the top onto a mounting bracket with two holes in it where the down tubes are just below the neck. The bottom bolts to the bottom of the frame down tubes with a U bolt on each side

Those factory Harley highway bars look real nice, but I've been trying to find something in the bargain bin, just haven't found that $49.95 special yet.
I know what you mean. I found my crash bars new in the box on Craigslist for $100, they were still wrapped and never installed. It saved me $190 compared to $290 new from Harley. I try to keep an eye out for deals like that. Also found on craigslist was a quick release windshield for $100 that's about 3" shorter than my quick release touring windshield. I got that just as a backup and saved about the same dollars over new. But, this was not new like the crash bars and I had to replace two of the four 49mm clamps at a cost of about $60.00. So in the end, the deal wasn't as good as the crash bars deal.

I did see the ones on Amazon, the foot pad issue should be an easy fix. The Harley ones also use the U bolts. I couldn't tell a difference between them and the Harley brand guards. Both are 1-1/4" tubing and the only difference I could really see was the rubber footrest looked a little thicker, slightly different style, and mounted differently on the Harley brand guards. They're definitely not removable on the Harley ones, I checked on mine before I installed them.
They're a easy 10 to 12 minute install once you get started. Just a tip when you install them, don't over tighten the nuts on the U bolts, if you do the metal plate on the bars that the U bolts go through will start to bend around your round frame tubes that they rest against. I also used blue Loctite on them.
