Best bet is to pick up a Clymer or Haynes manual. Idle should be adjusted to proper specs after it's warm.
Idle
I have an old 84 Honda Magna 500. When the engine is fully warm, the idle goes up to 2500rpm, is this normal or should I find the idle screw on the carbs to lower it? Any suggestions?

I bought the original owners manual for that bike from ebay. I'll check that over the weekend, not as good as Clymer or Haynes but it should show the specs and where the idle screw is. I recently purchased that bike and it just seems a little high to me.
That's way too high. It should be around 1200-1500 rpm at the most.
