I think I found the right shop manual, look on page 94, 95 for the electrical diagram and troubleshooting chart.
One by one you can test or bypass the switches and or relays involved until you find the problem. It's a pretty simple system,you could bypass 2/3 of it for a test by putting a jumper wire over the contacts on the sidestand relay, the other 1/3 is the kill switch.
