How to ride with a larger passenger?

Wait till your 100% comfortable on the bike again before even thinking about it. I very rarely have a passenger so even though I think I’m a well qualified rider it still makes me a bit nervous and timid when riding with another soul on the back.

A heavy passenger will make it more important that she doesn’t do the wrong thing, you may not be able to compensate for it, especially at slow or stopped speeds. I’ve ridden with my 70 pound grandson and even with him turning around to wave at people it was fine, but with a friend of my daughters who is close to my weight it was disconcerting if she just moved around a little or leaned the wrong way. Once she settled in and got used to riding we had a good day but it took some time.
