Hi,
I just removed the front suspensions due to some maintenance work, and since these are out I would like to remove the scratches that accumulated over time in the upper part of the suspension. all scratches are superficial and very small. any ideas how to remove? the problem is that if I sand them down, my suspensions are slightly textured and I think this texture will be removed. refer to pics below.

any ideas?

They are probably painted with a hard clear coat. If you use a good paint stripper, like Airplane brand, it will likely remove all the scratches with the clear. Then, you can get a rattle-can of two-part hardening clear at many auto paint stores; you push a button on the bottom to release the hardener, then you have several hours to shake and spray. Wear a face mask, also from the paint store, as the stuff is nasty in your lungs.
