Hi guys happy new years !! iam looking to either have my standard rear showa MCZ-641 shock serviced or replace it with an aftermarket unit , is my showa shock worth servicing ?
Iam a user that does road sand some track days but nothing too serious.

If you remove the spring and move the shock through its entire travel several times you will be able to determine if the shock is any good or not.

If the shock has dampening adjustments and assuming seals and such are available for it I don't see why it wouldn't work for you.
With it having a remote reservoir fading under use should not be a problem when doing a little not too serious track day fun...
