hello everyone..

i am having some problems with my bike. i was out riding the other night when i ran over a railroad track. the impact was enough to short/disconect somthing the bike shut down when you turn the key to the on possition nothing happens. i have tried to do a few things to diagnose this problem but have been met with failure
things ive tried

• 
  checked all fuse locations and continuaty of major curcuits
  • 
    power is getting to ignition switch and the ohm test on switch is good
    • 
      having problems with stator/regulator bad unit and wire harness burnt
      • 
        checked battery and is putting out 12v
        
        im just not sure what else to check plz any information as to waht can cause an entire power failure to the bike would be greatley apreciated.

We're would be the best place to start looking it seems with a complete no power situation but power still running from the battery to the front of the bike it should limit the possibilities but I'm stuck.. what is the best way to check for ground faults..

Also would it be possible for a bad stator to cause this issue? I used a multimeter and found that my stator is fried and I had a melted wire harness coming off of it from exposed wires coming in contact with the ground
