Hi,

Just bought a 1979 CB400A (UK Spec). Runs pretty well but I am concerned about the oil pressure warning light. Mine never lights up. i would have expected it to come on when the ignition is first switched on then go out once the engine was running. My guess is either the pressure switch is broken or the bulb has gone. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the advice. replacing the bulb solved the problem and thank goodness it goes out immediately the engine starts. One less thing to worry about.

I also fixed my winkers which were far flashing too fast by replacing the relay. Not sure if i like it but its got a warning buzzer built in as well - still it should remind me to cancel them. Always an embarrrassing situation with bikes. My old BMW K75 had self cancelling indicators - pity all bikes don't have them.
