TO ALL C100 EXPERTS OUT THERE.
MY 63 Honda C100 IS HAVING TROUBLE STARTING.
I AM CONFUSED BY THE DIFFERENT HT COILS USED ON EARLY MODELS.
MY QUESTION IS.
THE PRIMARY COIL SUPPLIES THE HT COIL FINE. BUT THE SEPARATE HT COIL CAN HAVE 1 OR 2 WIRES.
THE 2 WIRE COIL GOES TO POINTS AND SWITCH. HOW DOES IT WORK WITH ONLY 1 WIRE WHICH GOES TO THE POINTS. HOW DO YOU STOP THE ENGINE ?
ALSO THE HT COILS HAVE 2 FIXINGS WITH NUTS ON. I CANNOT WORK OUT WHERE ON FRAME THIS WOULD FIT. THERE ARE HOLES UNDER THE TOOLBOX COVER BUT NOTHIG THAT LINES UP WITH COILS FIXINGS.
IT HAS RUN OK FOR 10 YEARS, THEN NOTHING. I HAVE SPENT ALL SUMMER TRYING TO GET THIS THING RUNNING AND RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS AND PATIENCE.
