With all due respect. I don't believe your story.
Unless Honda motorcycles, or maybe you superior intellect and riding skills can bend the laws of physics anyway:grin:
It is also a hit and run.
The condition of the baby deer was not assessed until much later.
An interesting topic is if you hit an animal, and it is going to die painfully, what do you do? Townies will have no idea.

Specs say 47 horsepower and 180 kph or 112 mph. That much horsepower usually gets 100 to 105. But the OP was doing 120 ish, which implies a bit more. My 48 hp 750 Norton did 108. I have said many times, I find the reported top speeds to be quite suspect. From whoever posts the specs, or the riders, which includes the owners.
I might add, Shirley has gone faster than 180kph. No BS. I check each bike against the GPS. For most of them I have to take off about 5 kph. 3 times the horsepower of the CBR500 makes 180kph fairly easy.

I used to find issues with bikes that the owners told me were in perfect shape. But then, I may have looked at things they did not think off.

It is still a hit and run, however you slice it.

Don't believe he ever touched his front brake before impact. Got to admit I'm surprised there wasn't more damage done to the bike and he was still able to ride it after the crash.
Bet his wrists were sore the next day.
As with most good BS stories, there is more to this than has been revealed. For starters the bike was going 20 mph than any other of the same model, could attain.

It was an opening gambit from a new member, so it had to be padded a bit. A bit like walking in to the saloon of an old Western movie. First impression kind of thing.

I said above, when you are the only witness, you can sling it far and wide. Take it to the track, and prove it.

are u suggestion you have a deer for a track day to donate to the cause? even if i could replicate hitting a deer the odds of the same outcome aren't too favorable. maybe we should try a kangaroo since so many of those incidents occur...

the saddest thing is that i have 10x more unbelievable stories i could tell that i don't bother with. a lot cooler too. i've been met with skepticism all my life. idk i guess it's normal ppls way of justifying a boring life or something.

surely even u have something hard to believe that's happened to you. i challenge you to share a story ppl are easily skeptical about.
I have been there done that, and have the stories and trophies. I could prattle on about it, but there is not need.

Two things in your original story caught my attention.
You were going about 20 mph faster than your bike can go. You did not stop to check the condition of the deer.

I was prepared to let it slide, but if you insist.

I'm interested but what is PNW? I feel like I should know but....

Reading your past posts I could tell you were/are fast and probably famous.
You're likely one of my heroes. I mean, anyone that could win on a 60's roadracer has some nads
PM's are accepted....

SemiFast
I raced against the fast guys of the day. I have an expert road race licence. Number 14. I won my fair share of races in several classes. Some of the guys were a bit more gifted than me. My sense of self preservation has got me this far mostly unscathed. But it also prevented me going beyond my abilities. I needed about 3 more years experience to be able to match the really fast guys ability. But finances and distance from the tracks, caused me to quit the pavement and go cross country ( mostly mountains ) racing. There was more to learn with this than the pavement. My goal was to finish in the top ten of a tough race. I have the trophy. I did my best work at SIR, now Pacific Raceway, which is SE of Seattle. I am the number 1 plate from 1974.
I had my 15 minutes of fame at their 40 year anniversary.

well read the comments if u want to know why that is...

i honestly could care less about the well being of an adult suicidal deer. We have thousands of them in my area and hundreds scattered around dead. The hunters in my area perform large 50 man drives and kill them by the dozen.

if u dont want to share your stories with me fine.

stop wasting ur time discrediting mine.

if you or anyone else chooses to continue then i guess i will just let you. i have better things to do with my time then continue a one sided conversation.

it kinda makes me sad you say "let it slide"

why do any of you feel u need to prove something here? you cant take my experience from me. nobody can.
Well said. A little emotion.
Facts usually need few words. Stretching the facts takes more. Many here like myself, notice things others say, and it makes us wonder. One example. In the post I am quoting, you refer to an adult suicidal deer. In post number six, it is a fawn.
I would not refer to it as discrediting your story, more like asking questions for clarity. It is your story, formed from your cognitive bias, which we all have. Over time folks will form an opinion based on your stories. I have many, and over time they appear. There are many threads. From your last sentence, I would suggest that most here have nothing to prove, and they do not need to.
But since you asked: I am impressed by the guys like Rollin, who actually puts on the miles. Guys like 721 who rides to work every day in crappy weather and traffic. Steve who really does know stuff about oil. Plus all the guys who have years of experience, too many to name.
