I am guessing it to be from the 1970s era, but that is just a guess. If it only had a tag of some kind on it the job of identifying it would be easier. I really dont know what to do with it yet,I think with a little effort I could make a frame, mount an engine and steering gear and it would be a cool thing for the grandkids, but I will probably just sell it, as I have several other projects ahead of it.
Mine is very close to the American spirit, the only thing different that I could see was that mine does not have the molded fender. It does state in the article that this was a popular style, and it was copied by others, so mine must be one of those. Thanks again for the information, and I will keep trying to find out who exactly built this one.
