So when do you take a test ride? They handle great according to my wife. Since she rides a Spyder she already know that trikes handle differently. The Tri-Glide handles different than her Spyder but she adjusted quickly. I've been trying to convince her she needs a Tri-Glide. She came back with a big smile but only because she forgot about how much fun it is to shift. That was the only thing she liked about it. Guess she's a diehard Spyder rider. So at some point I'm going to have to do my own test rides to compare the Spyder F3 and the Tri-Glide. The Tri-Glide test will tell me if I really want the hassle of converting my Roadmaster.

So did you trade something in or did you just add this to the fleet?

I will have to sell both of my bikes that I have now to JUSTIFY such an expensive purchase!:surprise:

I have no trouble with balance or anything related YET:sad: but eventually it could happen. It would be nice to not have to put your feet down at a stop. No more worrying about sand, gravel, antifreeze or oil:wink2:

If I get a Trike I can still do my 'leaning' on the 'ever lasting arms':angel:

I have memories of 'BOB' the Traffic policeman, riding a servi car Harley and marking peoples tires with a long stick with a piece of chalk on the end, to somehow tell if they parked more than X hours, downtown.:smile:

This is why I learned to do as much as I can myself. My friend bought a road glide a few years ago and he paid $500 one time for an oil change and one of those "services". I asked him why the hell he paid that much when the bike was brand new and he said well they go through the bike and make sure all the bolts are tight and check it over and all this other bull. Then he pays crazy amounts just for an oil change too. Now he wants to get a tour pack or something put on and hes talking hundreds of dollars for the labor. WTF! Is it just harley dealers that rape you? Or do japanese bike dealers do the same thing with the scheduled "services"? An oil change for my vtx is $36 for oil(4qts) and filter. $50 for my cbr cause it takes synthetic. Im sure the "service techs" are in the back drinking a beer while people are getting their "service" done

Here's some Servi Car trivia: The Flathead engine which came out in the late 20's and was replaced in bikes by the Knucklehead after WWII, was still built by Harley and offered on the Servi Car until the early 1970's. It wasn't a powerhouse but it was so reliable and required comparatively little maintenance that it was perfect for the hard working Servi Cars.
