im thinking of of getting a motorcycle. would glasses be a problem?

If you buy a motorcycle with a windshield, it shouldn't be a problem. Even if your bike doesn't have a windshield, you could buy a full face plastic shield for under $10. I wear glasses, and my bike has a windshield. However, I also wear clip-on sunglasses over them when I ride. I feel that two layers of plastic are much safer than only one. My new glasses are polycarb lenses and aren't supposed to shatter. Even so, I still put my sunglasses over them. I never wear my face shield, because here in the Ozarks we have 100 degree temperatures almost daily now, and the face shield is just too hot.
I wear glasses but I would strongly recommend getting a pair of riding glasses. I got a pair from my local Optical Studio for $200. They convert into sunglasses by snaping off the headstrap and air seals around the eyes. For $200 I got transisition lenses so I can wear them day or night, but they do make a world of difference especially at freeway speeds, plus they would be more survivable if a pebble or rock were to hit me there.
I've never heard of glasses that do that. Can you post a picture of them? We don't have that company in this area. Mine are supposed to be shatterproof, but don't have seals or straps.

Thanks.
This is pretty close to what I have. I bought them at the Optical Studio where I get my regular glasses. The frames were about $80 and I got single vision lenses with transitions coats for a little more than $120. I love them, they curve around your head and seal up nice around your face so you get great perpherial vision and no rattle or shaking...

Hey thanks! I'm going to look into buying a pair. When bugs hit either mirror, what's left of them goes right in my face!

These glasses sound great. My perscription glasses are not very good for riding because my eyes water. With these glasses do they transition from night to day?

That all depends on the lenses you buy for them. I had prescriptions filled with these and went with the trasistions lens, it was about $20/lens more but well worth it. I mainly ride back and forth to work every day and they are fantastic for that. This past weekend we put 100 miles on the bike and did some night riding and again they were perfect. About the only thing I haven't tried with them is riding in the rain....
Thanks. I'll have to look into them. I ride with a full face helmet with the shield down because of my glasses. It would be nice to beable to ride with the shield up and have some wind on my face with no wet eyes.

i wear small glasses. my eyes used to water really bad when rideing my
