Hi all,

Recenty I noticed that my 180cc scooter oil LED sometimes blinks for a second.
The oil level is at max, and to be sure that the oil quality is good, I changed the oil of the engine.

What could the problem be? I am confused because my mechanic told me that it could be an electric fault (wiring or faulty sensor) or it can be also that there is a leak somewhere in the engine.

Any help please?

If someone can tell me where the oil pressure is placed I will try to clean it!

It could be electrical because the oil pressure sensor relies on electricity to send its information to the instrument panel. If it was a leak you'd notice oil everywhere it shouldn't be, like, on the ground/your leg/all over the outside of the motor. It's not that easy to test the oil pressure on most bikes, so the safest (and cheapest) way is to replace the sensor and see if the problem continues. If it does, then you'll have to find some way of testing the oil pump or testing the pressure.
