Generic Trigger 50SM Headlight and Dash

Hello everyone,
I have recently bought a Generic Trigger SM50 for quite cheap as it has some electrical issues. As it stands right now, the headlight and dash (speedometer, etc..) don't turn on, and I've decided to take this job myself but seeing I can't find any kind of guides online for this I've resort to posting about it here. The blinkers work, as well as rear brake light. The electric start doesn't work either (if that indicates anything), but that's not a big issue for me at the moment as the kick start works perfectly fine.

So what I'm trying to ask here is: does this seem like a problem too big to fix by myself (such as having to change wires and solder stuff), or is this a simple "rewiring" and plugging stuff I can do? And if it is, does anyone here have some kind of guide which could help me?

Thank you so much in advance!!!

Can be fixed quite easily.
Do you have multimeter/test light and know how to use it?
Do you have factory service manual used by dealer mechanics?

It could be very simple broken wire or connector like this case.

Or broken start-button. On most Hondas, start-button also powers headlight. Yours might be similar.

Or you may just have dead battery. Measure battery power with everything OFF, volts=???

1st confirm headlight globe is good. Remove from bike and connect directly to battery with jumper cables. Does both filaments of bulb light up?

Start-button is powered by brake-switches. Does applying front or rear brake work to turn on brake-light? Yes, you have to hold down brake for starter to work.

Very 1st step in troubleshooting any headlight problem is verify that bulb is functional by testing it in isolation. Unfortunately, many garages won't even take time to do that.
