Gas tank chips

I have several chips on my '85 Honda 650 Nighthawks tank.

I'm thinking of taking it to a paint shop. Am I warm, or should I look somewhere else?

Paint shop would defiantly make it nice again. Ask them about paint coatings that are more durable and less chippy. I added a flex additive to my paint that is typically used on plastic bumpers.

"Paint shop would defiantly make it nice again."

You mean, like, "Dadgummit, I don't care WHAT you say, I am going to make this NICE again!!" ?

I would do a little research and find out how to paint it myself. Do a little practice on something else and go to it. Painting is not rocket science and you can get excellent results from rattle cans.
if chips aren't too bad, some touch-up paint may be all that's needed
