I have a 2007 Suzuki C90T and my fuel gauge never reads full. I removed the fuel pump assembly and notice the brass brushes that rides along the resistor card for resistance values where bad. What is the name of the wiper arms that attaches to the float?

The dealer wants to sell me the whole fuel pump assembly for $400.

Looking at the parts diagram, the plate that has the fuel level sensor on it is separate from the pump, but still costs $290 here: http://www.partsoutlaw.com/oemparts/a/suz/506b674ef8700235b87698e5/fuel-pump

Are you sure you can't clean those brushes?

The bushes has worn down too short. Here is one I took off another bike.

Wow! How does that happen? Those contacts shouldn't see that much wear, ever. But, since they are not sold separately, you would have to find a parted-out bike, or buy new.

At that point, I would consider just switching over to using the trip odometer.

Lets face it, most if not all gas gage readouts on bikes are almost useless anyway.

It look like you could take the longer contact fingers off and pop rivet them to the assembly you want to use or make one out of "SHEET TIN-brass," that auto parts stores sell.

The mother of invention is necessity---or something like that.

I've never had a bike with a gauge, just the odometer, which is as accurate as the gauge my friend's C90T has. Just know your bike and how conditions affect mileage.
