Weird! You can count on a stealership to dismiss a problem because of what ever they don't understand and overcharge for things that the average rider should learn to do.

Could be the rim, which is easily checked with a pencil and some tape. Or, it could be a bad tire and/or tube if it has one.

Lift the front wheel so you can spin it by hand, then tape a pencil to a fork tube, point near the rim. Spin the wheel, and you will see if the wheel wobbles. You can also watch for lumps in the tire.

 

Could be the front tire is not properly mounted. I have seen tires on bikes and the bead was not fully seated on the rim.
