Front caliper problem

455 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  ketchboy
Hello I removed my front wheel brought it to the shop had them spin a new tire on for me. Now I went to mount the wheel back on my bike and the front right caliper won't get into the right place to be mounted. I've spread the Pistons out completely to give me more wiggle room but it still won't line up with the 2 mounting bolts. The front left caliper mounted up just fine with no problems. Does anyone have any ideas?

I assume you have the caliper the right way up? (bleeder screw up not down)
Not to be insulting, I've seen it happen before.
What stainless said. Sometimes they can be a bit of a problem. I just got done putting my front tire on and I had a real 'fun' time with mine. Here's a suggestion for ya. It works for me and a lot of others. Take a break for five minutes! Go have a beer, smoke a cig. Do whatever to get away from it for a little bit. When you come back it will bolt right up.
