Hi All, I have a Francis Barnett from the 30’s left to me, the frame number starts with CA and we think it’s a Seagull but can’t be 100%, it has the twin port 250 Villiers motor but was hoping to find the year. Any help would be appreciated.

Looking at my Francis Barnett book it lists the frame as a 1933 Cruiser No. 32. Engine is a Villers Mark XIVA.
The book was written by Arthur Gent.
Hi, That’s interesting information, many thanks, the bike looks like a Seagull, 250 twin port villiers engine etc but not enclosed like the cruiser, Seagull forks, I bet it was built from a box of parts and a frame. Still nice to look at though. I wonder if the bare frames are the same for both bikes. Thanks again, Kirk
Glad I was of some help. You should post some pictures if you can.
You were very helpful and I just bought that book from Amazon, I will post some pictures once I have got the cobwebs off it, it’s a great bike even if it’s a Mongrel 😊
Here is a copy of the specs page and a picture of the bike.

Perfect, thank you, I will try to find out if they used the same basic frame for the Seagull, I found a pic from a few years ago.
