I always end up with a bike in my garage. Right now I have two. An xs750 and GS850. I don't like yamahas too much. Anything else is okay. But I prefer American. I bought the two I have now to flip. But I will end up with another.
Welcome to the forum. You might change your mind about the GS850G. It has a reputation for being a comfortable smooth mile eater. All those models can benefit from better springs and shocks like Progressive and the entire GS line was plagued with electrical problems, burnt stators and bad R/R's. That is thankfully cured by the Compu-Fire 55402 or the Polaris part numbered 4012941 Shindengen SH-775 Series R/R's. The former is smaller more expensive (probably better), the latter can be had for about $75.00 is reliable as well. Good luck with your projects.
