I just got a 1981 honda cb650 the last owner said it needs atleast new heads but i got a fresh battery and brought it over and she fired right up so id really just like absolutely and tips and suggestions on what else i should do before i put her on the road

Once the choke is off it will idle rough for a minute or 2 then will normally die out it does respond decent to the throttle however its not a rocket but it dosnt trip over itself

Congrats on getting it started. Get yourself a repair manual for the bike and give it a good tune up, valve clearance, etc. Make sure the service is up to date and then see how it goes.

Any oil leaks or smoke from the exhaust? 0

i believe there is an oil leak while running not so sure where from yet but no smoke no and that will defietely be doing a tune up just really want to do a real thurough re up so looking for guidence on everything to do
