1995 Playstation (one/original) Road Rash

I pray to the cycle gods at least once a year that someone makes an updated version of this game. However the company that made it released it as free source on pc (without the higher quality sounds effects).

Please if any of you are game designers do me a solid and recreate this game with high quality graphics/sounds and perhaps some weather. Make the music user customizable and have a real pool hall for a proper schmooze.

It truly sucks that the only decent updated cycle games are all track related and mostly subpar.

Test Drive 2 had a pretty good cycle on the road you could pay to download. This is the closest thing I have seen to it done properly.

I recently went to an arcade and for the first time ever tried one of those motorcycle things u sit on to play. Even that game was terrible. It made me sad. (motogp)

moto racer playstation one/original was a pretty good game. the street aspect of it. the dirt was ok.

i also am waiting for a 3rd release. im guessing it's just taking long to develop.

although it's marketed that way the games have nothing good in common.

Road Rash has basic things liking showing your speedometer, ability to crash/lowside, racing.

Road Redmption has guys yanking signs out of the ground while riding, guns, crashing head first into a car and barely being bothered, no speedometer.

saying they are alike is like saying a goldfish is like a shark....i mean yes they are both fish but...

I had a lot of hope on Road Redmption while it was being made. They really butchered the game.

I'd love to see a high quality cycle game with street racing, melee combat, a cycle control panel, lowside/highside, wind influence, weather influence, road obstacles, a high sense of speed is important, rider customization. Having a physics engine that shows 200 mph turtle slow ruins a game. Road redemption also suffers from a slower physics engine.

i guess what im trying to say is road rash does a good job of having some level of realism. Road redemption is like a cheap arcade game with updated graphics.

well...i mean you can hit other riders with bats while racing through midtown traffic in real life, but I think the real world consequences are slightly worse than resetting your game.
